World Class Fishing Where Two Great Rivers Meet

Our 3/4 mile of White River frontage at the mouth of the Buffalo River provides the best diversified fishing on the river.

We have both gravel and rock shoals for bank and wade fishing as well as plenty of deep water to drift fish from a boat. We have a fairly complete bait and tackle shop with competitive prices. You can purchase your fishing license and trout permit here.

Legendary Trout and Smallmouth Bass Fishing
There is no fishing season in Arkansas -- fishing is great all year! The White Buffalo Resort has the best diversified fishing on the rivers.

The Legendary White River -- World Class Trout Fishing

The White River is famous for it's trophy trout. It is a legitimate world class trout river having accounted for brown trout in the 40 pound class.

Fly-fishing doesn't get any better than at the White Buffalo. 1/2 mile above the resort is the longest rock shoal on the White River and below it is a gravel bar that keeps on going for several miles.

Buffalo City (approx. 1 mile upstream from the mouth of the Buffalo River & adjacent to the resort) free take-out for canoes coming off the Buffalo River.

Ranchette (approx.4 miles upstream- opposite shore)

Rim Shoals (7.5 miles upstream from the resort) Catch & Release area- artificial lures only

Cotter (12 miles upstream)

Cartney ( downstream- walk-in access only -approx. 3.5 miles from resort)

Shipp's Ferry (downstream approx. 7.5 miles)

Norfork (downstream- approx. 12 miles) at the junction with the Norfork River

Buffalo River -- A Blue Ribbon Smallmouth Bass River

The Buffalo River, a designated blue ribbon smallmouth bass stream, is just across the river from us. There is no better location than the White Buffalo Resort to seek trophy smallmouth bass in the 5+ pound class. (See pictures below.)
