Map & Directions
Cabin 1 is the cabin for couples & small families.  The loft
bedroom has a king bed and 2 full size beds, plush bedding and
lots of handmade quilts. The downstairs boasts an impressive
native stone fireplace that will warm the body & spirit. The
comfortable living room includes a sofa, love seat and futon. There is also a TV, DVD & VCR with several tapes and dvds on hand. The bath has a Jacuzzi tub and shower. The fully equipped kitchen is complete with a range, oven, refrigerator and small appliances.

Our cabins are full of family collectibles and area crafts. There is
also a charcoal grill and campfire pit outside in case grilling or
smores are on the menu.

Cabin 2 is a wonderful cabin for family reunions, church retreats,
and even couples. It is larger than our first cabin, but it definitely
has that quaint homey feel to it. You can relax in comfort and enjoy plenty of privacy in this cabin. The cabin has five bedrooms. They include a king bed in the master bedroom, two bedrooms that each have one queen bed, another bedroom has two full beds, & the last bedroom has a three full beds and one twin bed. It also has a large fully furnished kitchen with a dining table that seats eight and also three barstool seats. The kitchen is complete with a range, oven, refrigerator and small appliances.  The living room is comfortably furnished with a sofa, loveseat, recliner and a large pine futon. There is also a TV, DVD & VCR with several VHS tapes and DVDs on hand. There are two full baths in the cabin, one with a Jacuzzi tub and shower; the second has a regular tub andshower. If outdoor cooking is a must, there is a large charcoal grill and campfire pit outside.


Our cabins are fully furnished & decorated with antiques & family collectibles. They include large covered surrounding porches where you can kick back & relax in comfort. Enjoy the many types of wildlife from your porch swing or cook on the grill. Breathtaking views over looking the mountains and valleys of the Buffalo National Park. We are located just 1 mile from Steel Creek campground. A great area for hiking and canoeing!

When you stay with us you can't get closer to the Steel Creek trail head on the Buffalo River. We are within a mile of the park service trails and can provide easy access to trails.

NPS  The most popular hiking trail in the upper Buffalo River area. Barrier free stretch, suitable for families. Eden Falls, native american shelter, waterfall in cave, outstanding spring wildflowers.

Nature Conservency, hiking trail 500 ft. descent in 1 mile. Two track road, hiking trail, very scenic spring fed creek with outstanding spring wildflower show. Popular with photographers.  Remote.
Hawksbill Crag  (6 miles up Cave Mtn. road)

Popular 3 mile round trip with 200 ft elevation change. Most photographed Arkansas Landmark. Trail can be rough, a few seasonal creeks.
Centerpoint Trailhead (5 miles north of Ponca on 43)

This trailhead is popular with hikers and horsemen. It is one of two ways to famous Hemmed In Hollow, the dangerous Goat Trail, Sneeds Creek Trail, and Granny Henderson's cabin. Big elevation changes, not for out of shape hikers. 1,000 ft descent. For most, this is an all day hike requiring frequent rest stops.

Harrison  (26 miles north of Ponca on 43)   35-45 minutes

Harrison is a small town of 12,000 that offers many services not available at Ponca or Jasper. Most businesses are north of the square, 40 minutes or more away from Ponca. For emergency car repairs it would be the closest destination.
