Rocky Hills Cabins are nestled within the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas on a ridge that separates the heads of the Buffalo National River and the scenic Piney River. This Ozark Mountain vacation cabin rental sits near the junction of Arkansas' State Highways 16 & 21, also known as Edwards Junction, and overlooks a clearing from which to observe the wildlife while enjoying a magnificent view of the mountains and valleys. The location of Rocky Hills Cabins is within the boundaries of the Ozark National Forest and only two miles from the trailhead to the Glory Hole. A ten minute drive from the cabin will take you to the Buffalo National River and Boxley Valley where floating expeditions can begin and elk herds can often be seen. The back side of the cabin borders National Forest land, and this nearness allows visitors the opportunity to walk out the back door of their cabin and possibly see deer, turkey, squirrel, or other animals. Hiking through the forest land gives additional opportunities to experience the wildlife and the bluffs, streams, and forests of Newton County. Visitors with a desire to see even more out-of-the-way places can hike into the Hurricane Wilderness or the Upper Buffalo Wilderness--each located within a short distance from either side of the cabin. This Ozark Mountain vacation experience would not be complete without seeing some of our beautiful sites such as the Glory Hole, Hemmed-in-Hollow, Lost Valley, Pedestal Rocks, Alum Cove, Sam's Throne, Hawksbill Crag/Whitaker Point, Boxley Valley, and the town of Jasper. These sites offer waterfalls, bluffs, natural rock bridges, and an assortment of rock formations. Rocky Hills Cabins are situated in a location from which to easily access the many features of the Ozark Mountains ranging from hiking and observing elk, to canoeing and kayaking, to rock climbing and caving, to hunting and fishing. Vacation at Rocky Hills Cabins and allow the owners, Rick and Yalonda Martin, to help you plan and locate the sites to make your trip the perfect vacation. Features The outdoors is what makes Newton County so special. From our back deck, relax while viewing the valleys and mountains that form the head of the Piney River.
