Buffalo River Chamber Emergency Phone Project

Due to severe budget cuts in the current fiscal year, the Buffalo National River cut pay phones located in cell phone "dead zones". The Buffalo River Chamber of Commerce emergency phone project is a fundraiser to restore and operate these phones.

Each year, in river wilderness areas there are a few accidents that are life-threatening. In the cell phone dead zones, land lines are the only link to emergency services, timely rescues, and emergency medical treatment.

We need your help. Your PayPal donation is essential to restoring and maintaining these services. We want visitors to have the protection these phones provide.

Join us in this important project with your contribution. Funds raised through this project go to a restricted fund. The Buffalo River Chamber charges no administration for this project. 100% of very dollar you give goes directly to support this important project. All donations are tax deductable.
Accidents along the river and hiking trails can be life-threatening for floaters, riders and hikers. Pay phones are the essential link to contact emergency rescue teams in the BNR's many cell phone dead zones  .
