These images were all taken in late summer and fall during the annual elk rut, including the lead-up to the Arkanss elk rut, about a month prior to the start. Arkansas elk have become famous nationally as being very viewable. Elk viewing is a huge tourist attraction and growing. These shots are all from Boxley Valley near Ponca, AR.
