Kyles Landing

Kyles Landing is arguably the center of the Ponca Wilderness. It is the intersection of many trails and very scenic. The primitive campground is very popular with hikers. This stretch of the Buffalo River downstream from Kyles is very scenic. Best way to hike to Hemmed in Hollow via the ORT.  Near Indian Canyon.

Alum Cove

Short 1.1 mile hiking trail to natural bridge used by early settlers to cross seasonal creek. Vault toilets. Water in season. Picnic area with 7 tables accessible. User fees posted at self-service pay area. Operated by the Forest Service.
Haw Creek Falls

Haw Creek Falls are part of a NFS campground. They are popular photographic subjects and a nice place to witness fall color. Close enough to be combined with a trip to Pedestal Rocks, both off Scenic 7 south.

Two different loop trails totalling around 4 miles. Easy trails with interesting rock formations popular with nature lovers and photographers. Kings Bluff falls in season. Picnic area with restrooms. Scenic 7 South to AR 16 east, about 6 miles on south side of road. Good famly day trip. Keep kids close.

Hillary Jones Wildlife Museum

Bradley Park

Nice little city park with deep large pool from the Little Buffalo River, a good fishing hole for kids. Host to many Jasper events, and popular destination for picnics. Playground for kids. Open from dawn to dusk.
