Nelms Gallery (in Mt. Sherman, west on 74) GPS: 36.028595,-93.237708 (8 miles, 14 minutes) The 3400 square foot gallery is filled with nearly 200 canvas prints of Don Nelms' photography, printed on canvas and framed. There are varieties of landscapes, wildflowers, wildlife, and natural abstracts, virtually all from Buffalo National River Country. |
Centerpoint Trailhead (5 miles north of Ponca on 43) GPS: 36.09222, -93.334693 (9.2 miles, 17 mins) This trailhead is popular with hikers and horsemen. It is one of two ways to famous Hemmed In Hollow, the dangerous Goat Trail, Sneeds Creek Trail, and Granny Henderson's cabin. Big elevation changes, not for out of shape hikers. 1,000 ft descent. For most, this is an all day hike requiring frequent rest stops. |

I live in the Boston Mountain Range of the Ozarks, on the side of a mountain in the middle of a forest, with 4 large dogs and 1 husband. All of whom require a lot of attention.
We own and operate a vacation cabin rental which keeps us busy and we get to meet a lot of people from all over.
I sing in my church band and do a vegetable garden every year plus little by little carve out some gardens and landscaping here.
However, my passion is painting! I love to paint with my pens, pencils and brushes from the photorealistic to the surreal!
I used to do a lot of street fairs and shows a year but after having moved to such a secluded area I now only involve myself with local shows and tours.
